The Bechtler Museum Set to Launch New Professional Organization With a Reimagined Museum Party
The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art has a new professional organization set to arrive in style this February with a celebratory affair.
First announced on the museum’s Facebook page last summer, The Modernists is described as a new collective of creatives ages 21 to 45 with an appreciation for art in all its forms. According to the museum’s website, The Modernists’ initiative is to engage and attract the next generation of museum supporters while serving as a key partner in the Bechtler’s mission to help make Charlotte an international cultural center.
Individuals interested in membership can join The Modernists now for $25 per month or $250 annually. Membership includes a variety of benefits such as exclusive events, studio tours, member-only exhibition openings, and regional travel opportunities alongside museum leadership.
With the introductions complete, let’s turn our attention to the official launch of The Modernists, a fabulous party aptly named The Odd Ball. The event will take place on Thursday, February 5, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will feature entertainment, dancing, fashion, and raffles. The dress code for the event includes three descriptors for guests to draw from: Casual Creative Cocktail, Over-the-Top Fashion, and You Are Your Own Canvas.
Tickets are available now for $250 for general admission or $200 for those who choose to become part of The Modernists.
The Odd Ball promises to be an unforgettable night where art, fashion, and creativity collide. If this launch is any indication, The Modernists are poised to make a bold and lasting impression on Charlotte’s cultural and social scene.
