Not even yesterday’s unexpected storm could rain on Derby Days 2025, the signature spring soiree hosted by the Young Affiliates of the Mint. Originally planned for the lawn of the Mint Museum Randolph, the event gracefully shifted indoors, where the celebration continued in full stride. Guests didn’t let the weather dull their shine—derby fashion was alive and thriving as Charlotte’s most stylish young professionals turned out in their finest.

From bold floral prints and pastel suits to towering fascinators and classic wide-brimmed hats, the crowd transformed the museum into a vibrant display of springtime elegance. Whether sipping cocktails, enjoying live music, or participating in festive contests, attendees embodied the spirit of the derby with flair and finesse.

Signature sips were just as polished as the outfits. Guests cooled off with refreshing mint juleps, local beers, and a standout pour from Amperé Cellars—a delicious sweet Muscat wine that perfectly matched the bright, celebratory mood of the day. A special shoutout to Anthony Bell, Founder of Amperé Cellars, for adding such a memorable touch to this year’s drink menu.

Of course, Derby Days isn’t just about fabulous fashion and fun—it’s also about giving back. All proceeds from the event will support free tours of The Mint Museum for Charlotte-Mecklenburg school students, helping to foster a new generation of artists, art enthusiasts, and community leaders.
