First Look: Season 23 of Bravo’s Top Chef Brings the Heat to Charlotte

Charlotte’s next moment on the small-screen arrives this spring as the Emmy, James Beard, and Critics Choice Award–winning series Top Chef returns to Bravo on Monday, March 9, airing from 9:00–10:15 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Kristen Kish and judged by culinary heavyweights Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons, Season 23 takes viewers to the Carolinas, with the competition primarily centered in Charlotte and select episodes taking place in Greenville.
This season will showcase 15 rising-star chefs as they put their culinary skills to the ultimate test, all vying for the coveted title of Top Chef. The winner will walk away with a $250,000 grand prize provided by Graza Olive Oil, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, an appearance at the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, and the opportunity to headline an exclusive dinner at the historic James Beard House in New York. The champion will also have the honor of presenting at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in Chicago.
Throughout the season, chefs will compete for immunity, strategic advantages, and cash prizes, with more than $150,000 in additional winnings up for grabs. Take a look at the trailer below and get ready to see Charlotte like you’ve never seen it before.
