The Duke Mansion Is Hosting a Literary-Inspired Summer Supper Series
If your ideal summer evening includes exceptional food and lively conversation inspired by some of literature's most beloved stories, The Duke Mansion has something worth adding to your calendar.
The historic Charlotte landmark is hosting a new Summer Supper Series, a collection of four unique dining experiences inspired by classic American literature and the worlds these celebrated authors created. Guests can expect a multi-course dining experience complemented by a signature cocktail, curated wine service, and the exceptional hospitality that defines The Duke Mansion.
The series begins July 12th with A Culinary Celebration of Modern Coastal and Expat Authors, inspired by the seaside adventures of Ernest Hemingway. Guests will enjoy a coastal-inspired menu that reflects the flavors, landscapes, and spirit found throughout Hemingway's work while celebrating one of America's most iconic literary voices.
Additional dinners in the series include:
A Dinner with Southern Authors on July 26th, celebrating the storytelling traditions and distinctive flavors of the American South.
A Night of Dinner and Transcendentalism on August 9th, inspired by the transcendentalist movement and its themes of nature, simplicity, and reflection.
The Age of Jazz Inspired Dinner on August 23rd, celebrating the glamour, elegance, and literary spirit of the Jazz Age.
If you're looking for a dinner that's a little different this summer, The Duke Mansion's Summer Supper Series is certainly one to consider. With just four dinners on the calendar and seating limited for each event, reservations are encouraged for those looking to experience one or all four evenings.
