British cocktail bar traditions meet Indian flavors at Regiment One55, opening October 24th at Zamindar’s Clubhouse. Located just off the restaurant’s main dining room, the 35-seat lounge will offer shareable plates, cocktails, and music.
The design draws inspiration from the private British clubs of colonial India, blending the elegance and character of a historic officers’ club with a contemporary feel. For founder David Pandoria and Chef Vamshi Adi, the addition builds on the restaurant’s emphasis on Indian hospitality and social gatherings.
Vamshi’s menu puts British and Indian influences on the same plate. Masala Fish & Chips features Atlantic cod fried in British pale ale batter, accompanied by thick-cut home fries, mushy green peas, and goat cheese.
Butter Chicken Wellington pairs a chicken lollipop stuffed with mushroom and spinach with grilled baby carrots, masala mashed potatoes, and makhani sauce. Guests can also order Lamb Kakori Kulcha, a lamb leg pâté-stuffed bread served with pickled radish, house spice dust, and walnut raita.

The cocktail names offer their own nods to the past. Her Majesty, inspired by Britain’s royal era, combines Glenmorangie 12 with apricot eau de vie, Darjeeling tea, honey, and champagne.
Savoy 1889 takes its name from the London hotel and features Tanqueray No. 10, St-Germain, cucumber cordial, cardamom, and lemon. Named for the jewel associated with the British Crown, the Kohinoor combines Glenfiddich 26 Grande Couronne, house fig preserve, aromatic bitters, and edible gold, with the drink finished tableside.
When the lounge opens, hours will be Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 4 PM to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 4 PM to 2 AM. Regiment One55 will be closed on Mondays.
