The wait is almost over. Maman has announced the opening date for its third Charlotte location.

Located in the Eastover neighborhood at 523 Fenton Place, Charlotte, NC 28209, the French-inspired café and bakery from co-founders Elisa Marshall and Benjamin Sormonte will officially open its doors on Wednesday, July 29th.

To celebrate the opening, the location will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:00 AM. The first 100 guests will receive a complimentary tote bag and Maman's classic chocolate chip cookie with their purchase. Those stopping by later in the day can still join the celebration, as the first 50 guests who spend $15 or more beginning at 1:00 PM will receive a complimentary croissant charm from Carolina Charm.

The Eastover opening marks another step in Maman's continued expansion across Charlotte, a milestone co-founder Elisa Marshall says wouldn't have been possible without the community's support.

"We are so grateful to Charlotte for making us feel so welcome across the city. We started with our commissary kitchen in Plaza Midwood, which granted us the ability to open smaller, more localized locations in other areas of town. Our Eastover location is no exception! We look forward to contributing to the history of the building that's been in the neighborhood for over 100 years and working with even more Charlotteans in our stores every day. Thank you all for the opportunity to continue serving our pastries, coffees, and homemade favorites," Marshall said.

Housed in a building dating back to the 1920s, Maman Eastover features just over 3,000 square feet of indoor space with seating for 54 guests, complemented by a 1,200-square-foot outdoor patio that accommodates an additional 52 guests.

The location pairs the café's signature design elements with features unique to the historic space. Custom toile-printed espresso machines and imported blue-and-white tile are joined by a warm, home-like layout that pays homage to the building's original architecture. In honor of the property's history, the space also features locally sourced antiques from North Carolina and beyond, alongside design elements inspired by the provincial South of France, including custom handmade concrete light fixtures, natural materials, and hand-textured walls.

The design is further enhanced by a custom logo mural from Charlotte artist Amber Thompson and whimsical floral installations by Floratorium, which adorn the balcony with magnolia and jasmine as a tribute to North Carolina's native foliage.

Like its Plaza Midwood and South End counterparts, Maman Eastover will serve the café's fan-favorite salads, sandwiches, the Oprah-famous Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookie, and its two North Carolina-exclusive specialties: the Peaches & Cream Danish and the Mac & Cheese Croissant.

Maman Eastover will be open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends.
