The clinic, which opened in late June, was founded by Dr. Heather Graham, MD, FACOG, and Dr. Frances Yancey, DNP, FNP-C, who both spent years working in traditional healthcare settings. While they loved caring for their patients, they often found themselves wishing they had more time to truly listen, educate, and partner with them.
According to Heather and Frances, the realities of insurance-driven medicine frequently meant shorter appointments, increasing administrative demands, and fewer opportunities to provide the thoughtful, individualized attention they believed their patients deserved.
Those experiences ultimately inspired the idea for Sorelle Health: a practice where relationships come first, women feel genuinely heard, appointments allow time for meaningful conversations, and every decision is guided by what's best for the patient rather than the limitations of the healthcare system.
At Sorelle Health, patients can receive gynecologic care, preventive wellness visits, hormone therapy, menopause management, contraception counseling and management, adolescent gynecology, pelvic and sexual health services, telehealth appointments, and in-office ultrasounds. Their vision was to create one place where women could receive comprehensive, evidence-based treatment without feeling like they needed multiple providers to connect the dots.
The clinic operates as a direct-pay practice, which Heather and Frances say allows them to spend more time with each patient, offer transparent pricing, and focus on personalized treatment rather than insurance requirements. In the long term, they hope that approach will allow them to build lasting relationships and develop treatment plans that reflect each woman's unique goals, lifestyle, and stage of life.
For Heather and Frances, Sorelle Health is about more than offering longer appointments or a different payment model. It's about reshaping the way women experience healthcare.
One of the biggest misconceptions they hope to challenge is the belief that many of the symptoms women experience are simply something they have to "live with." Painful periods, heavy bleeding, fatigue, low libido, weight gain, brain fog, sleep disruption, hot flashes, and mood changes may be common, they say, but that doesn't mean they're normal. Instead of accepting those concerns as part of everyday life, they encourage patients to seek answers rather than assume persistent symptoms are simply something they have to endure.
They also want to show that healthcare doesn't have to feel rushed or impersonal. Every patient should have the time to ask questions, better understand what's happening with their health, and work alongside providers instead of feeling hurried through an appointment.
That approach feels especially meaningful in Charlotte, where one of the country's fastest-growing cities is home to women balancing careers, raising families, caring for loved ones, building businesses, and staying involved in the community. "We're honored to provide a place where women can slow down, focus on themselves, and receive healthcare that's built around their needs," they shared. There's something special about caring for women in the same community where we live, work, and serve."

Before opening Sorelle Health, the pair shared a dream of building the kind of practice they would want for themselves, their mothers, their sisters, their daughters, and their closest friends. By combining Heather's experience as a board-certified OB/GYN with Frances' background as a doctorally prepared family nurse practitioner, they've created a collaborative clinic built to support women through every season of life.
As Sorelle Health begins welcoming patients across Charlotte, Heather and Frances want the clinic to be known not only for the medicine it practices, but for the experience it creates.
